Further to the governments advice on 12th May, it may now be possible for buyers to start thinking about the viewing of boats again, subject to safe practices on social distancing and also the opening of the boatyards, marinas and sailing clubs in the coming weeks. From Tollesbury Marina - In guidance issued this morning (13 May 2020), Government have confirmed that;
"All forms of water sports practised on open waterways, including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing, kayaking, surfing, paddle-boarding and the use of privately-owned motorised craft (in line with the guidance issued by the relevant navigation authority) are allowed."

British Marine understands that inland navigation authorities and harbour authorities will also have to consider the Government's latest guidance in respect of what activities will be permitted across all parts of the UK and how they themselves will return to operation.
